About

The Cycle Salt Lake Century, Inc., a not-for-profit organization, is proud to sponsor this annual recreational bicycle event that features your choice of 36, 67 or 100 mile routes. Your entry fee will assist the Salt Lake City Bicycle Advocacy Committee to build and maintain bicycle routes and trails and promote cycling in Utah. Details, dates and times are listed below.

Since it's incorporation and organizing of the Cycle Salt Lake Century in 2001, the Cycle Salt Lake Century, Inc., has donated over $37,000 to local organizations and charities that directly benefit Utahns. These groups include: The Salt Lake City Mayors Bicycle Advisory Committee, Friends of Antelope Island, American Cancer Society Man to Man Project and Murray Relay for Life, Local Senior Center Wasatch Manor Resident Committee, Bonneville Bicycle Touring Club, Salt Lake City Bicycle Coalition, UTA Rideshare and others. We are proud to be a part of and give back to the communities we live in and to promote bicycling as a healthy lifestyle as well as an alternative form of transportation.


Details

EVENT: Loops of 36, 67 and 100 miles on a route of mostly flat terrain.

SCHEDULE:
Friday
4:00 PM - 8:00 PM Early check-in and packet pick-up / Late registration at the UTA Rideshare Bike Bonanza (Gallivan Center Plaza, 239 South Main Street, SLC - Map). Includes free Papa John Pizza!

Saturday
6:00 AM - 9:00 AM Check-in and packet pick-up / Late registration at Utah State Fair Park, 155 North 1000 West.
7:30 AM Official start time. Riders may depart anytime between 7:30 AM and 9:00 AM.
8:00 AM Possible second start time. Due to number of riders participating in the century ride, (over 1880 in 2006) we will have a second start for younger riders, parents with children in trailers, families or those not comfortable in a large group.
5:00 PM Deadline for all cyclists to return to the Fair Park.

WHERE: All riders will depart from and return to the Utah State Fair Park (Map). All routes head north with the 100 mile route traveling to Antelope Island. Preliminary route maps:

WHO: All cyclists are welcome. This is a non-competitive event. The 36 mile option is the perfect route for a family, parent with a child or the first timer to an organized bicycle event. HELMETS ARE MANDATORY FOR ALL RIDERS!

HOW: All participants must register, see the Register section below.
Early check-in and packet pick-up will be offered Friday evening at the UTA Rideshare Bike Bonanza at Gallivan Center Plaza (Map).

TEAMS: Do you have a team, club or organization with 15 or more riders? Contact us about special discounts on pre-registration of your riders.

Register

$40 for Pre-registration (until Monday, May 12th) - Internet (active.com) or mail-in (Download the printable registration form).
- Internet registration closes at 11 PM, Monday, May 12th.
- Mail-in registration must be post marked May 12th or earlier (or your registration may not arrive in time to be processed).
After May 12th, register in person (see below).

$48 for Late registration (after Monday, May 12th) - In person only, the day before or day of the ride. If we run out of your size of T-shirt, it will be mailed to you.
- Day Before Ride: 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM at the UTA Rideshare Bike Bonanza (Gallivan Center Plaza, 239 South Main Street, SLC - Map).
- Day of Ride - 6:00 AM - 9:00 AM at the Utah State Fair Park, 155 North 1000 West (Map).

Registration fee includes food (fruit, candy, snacks, etc.) and drink (water and sports drink) at the rest stops, lunch, a goodie bag, and a commemorative short sleeve T-shirt.

5th Annual Pedal Pusher Film Festival

The Salt Lake City Bicycle Collective will be hosting one of the largest bicycle film events ever to come to Utah. Courtesy of the Bicycle Film Festival we will be featuring the films of some of the most sought after directors in the world. If you like movies, bikes, and/or killer parties -- this will be the place to be.

Presented by the Salt Lake County Mayor's Office and the Salt Lake County Bicycle Advisory Committee. Join us for a mellow ride with Mayor Peter Corroon / Mayor Ralph Becker and other city mayors under police escort to County Complex and City County Building. Free bagels, coffe and juice for all participants.
